I made a little something for ALQS5. a tiny A4 size quilt. I enjoyed sitting by the fire last night blanket stitching round the petals. So relaxing.

January happenings
I decided to make a lap quilt for my friend who has cancer. I had a charm roll pack from The Fennel Shed, Buncrana, and their pattern for a window boxes quilt.
Just needed some backing fabric, would this do, it was in the January Sale at Creative Ideas.
Inserted some of the leftover piano keys from the top, plus a little panel pic that says love is everlasting. Referring to the love of God in Christ Jesus.
My wee singer isn't really built for the quilting bit. However, we battled on and got to the end.
I labelled it (forgot to take that pic) added a lovely little heart charm to the label which says made with love.
Then teddy Fraser tried it out for snuggliness, and we went to visit Lor, who loves her new little quilt. Now, I have received my house from Beth and I have something new to think about. What will I do.............mmmmmh! Well, we'll see. Thanks for visiting. This is the longest blog I have ever managed. Happy New Year everyone.

Lots more than I thought.
I have been inspired by Vreni to try and show what I have been making this last year, so here goes, First up my little quilt for ALQS4. It went to live in Australia. Then I hand quilted a quickie panel for A Little Horse Trust tombola. These are in no particular order. I made a bed size quilt for No 1 D. She got it for her birthday in July. On the rocking chair is a throw I made for a good friend who was moving to England to live and work. I made a lovely hexie pincushion/caddie, but not sure I can find the pic. Was just about to give up when I spotted it.I used some green fabrics to make a shopper for a lady from Kells Co Meath who gave me a BIG BAG of pieces she couldnt use. (it was like Christmas come early) I realise now there is no good photo of the finished bag. The cushion I made when practising windmill blocks. I tried to have placemats ready for the table at Christmas. Didn't happen. Got 6 finished by 31st Dec. One more today, and hope to get the 8th done before I pack the Christmas things away til next year. They dont match. Just made with the bits and pieces I had to hand. Phew!! Happy Sew Year everyone. ps just noticed the smiley face on my hexie. Grandaughter Sarah did that. She loves to organise me.
