No stitching

Not doing any stitching these past few weeks. Itching to get going again. Bought a lovely piece of lilac. Enough to make a border for Mags quilt. Think I have settled on a 'Trip around the world' pattern. Just need to do the necessary shopping. Have booked tickets for RDS Dublin stitching show for Caro and myself. Looking forward to that, end of Oct. Smile smile.

A beautiful day

The sun is shining. It is another sun- shiny day. Went to The Cotton Shed and ood and aaad at all the lovely fabrics and kits. Bought couple of pieces of fabric. Signed up for the block of the month quilt Pond House, starting in January. Lynda had her almost finished quilt top so we could see what it will be like. Mmmmm! This one is for me. It is beautiful. So far I have kept very little of my quilts. This one is going to live with me. The pic is of my first attempt at paper piecing. I couldnt understand the concept til I did this block.

Dennis

Here is dennis. Look at that beady eye. I hear he has become more well behaved for his new owners. This is pip with her mum Wendy just a few hours after she was born. All the minis belong to my daughter.

squeak

Crystal gave birth to a filly 7 days ago. She is named squeak. Her half sister, born to Wendy is pip. The names came from the cartoon characters pip, squeak and Wilfrid. No more due this year, so no Wilfred. Here she is on her first outing to the paddock at 6 days old. They are mini horses.

found it

my camera was in the laptop bag. Now I can get a couple of pics to share. I have finished the lap quilt I was working on, and am happy enough with it to want to keep it. A good sign. Hope the lovely lady it is for will enjoy it. Here is a pic of the little quilt I received from Mary. It is so lovely. I am going to use it as a centre on our dining table, when it is cleared of sewing machine, fabric , laptop etc.
