Well, Jess and Jess. This is for you. I made some of the blocks and didn't know what to do with them. I took them out and looked at them every now and then. Yesterday I decided the time had come to use them in a quilt. It's far from perfect, but it is a quilt top, about cot size. Not sure about the outside border...it is coloured buttons on a white background, maybe when it has a binding it will look better.
We are having some sunshine, and more than a few very heavy rain. It's good to stay indoors and sew:-)
It looks great Barbara! I'm glad you put them all together :o)
ReplyDeleteThank you Jess. It took some time. I really enjoyed making the blocks.
DeleteAbsolutely gorgeous! Love the batiks you've used. And yes, I agree, the binding will "finish" this quilt. Well done!
ReplyDeleteThank you Vreni. I love batiks. One day I will make a quilt with mainly batik fabric...I promise myself.
DeleteIt looks great! Once it is quilted and bound it will all come together! Great job Barbara!
ReplyDeleteThank you Jess. I really enjoyed making the blocks. It was the first time I had attempted anything like it.
DeleteThose are fabulous blocks.
ReplyDeleteThank you Mary. I just used bits out of my stash, as I wasn't sure how it would turn out. I would like to try some of them again in a more organised way.
